Korean Air and Shell sign sustainable aviation fuel supply agreement

Korean Air (KAL) and Shell have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore KAL’s supply and purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at major airports in the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East for five years from 2026. Read More » The airline will work with Shell but also expand cooperation with other global oil companies to secure a SAF supply for regions KAL serves worldwide. This latest MoU follows KAL's established partnerships with Hyundai Oilbank and SK Energy, Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), Airbus and Air Liquide to develop the SAF industry. “Korean Air will continue to collaborate with partners to proactively respond to climate change by reducing carbon emissions,” the SkyTeam alliance member said.
