International Air Transport Association (IATA) regional vice president Asia-Pacific, Philip Goh, said the passenger traffic recovery in the region has been gaining momentum recently as more countries reopen their borders to international travel. Read More » In an online briefing, Goh told reporters Asia-Pacific passenger traffic is forecast to reach 73% - 74% of pre-COVID-19 levels by year-end. The airline lobby group's most recent published data shows August Asia-Pacific revenue passenger kilometres were 53.3% of levels recorded in the same month in 2019.
