In its quarterly update, lessor AerCap reports it signed 184 lease agreements, completed 34 purchases and executed 37 sale transactions in the three months to September 30. It also closed on financing transactions valued at US$1.4 billion.
Air Lease Corporation delivered 14 new aircraft from its order book and had aircraft investments calculated at US$840 million in the three months to September 30. It also sold one aircraft to a third party buyer.
American Airlines is investing in hydrogen fuel and logistics company Universal Hydrogen. The value of the investment has not been disclosed.
Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore director-general, Han Kok Juan, has signed an agreement with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) secretary-general, Juan Carlos Salazar, to support ICAO's efforts in building a sustainable aviation fuel industry. Singapore is the fourth state to commit to ICAO's assistance, capacity-building and training on sustainable aviation fuel (ICAO ACT-SAF) program.
Joby Aviation has agreed a commercial and operational partnership with Delta Air Lines to operate its all-electric, vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for "home-to-airport" transportation services. The partnership includes Delta’s US$60 million equity investment in Joby with the option to increase the investment to US$200 million.
