New airline for Cambodia

The airline will at first operate on domestic routes only. It has signed a firm order for 20 MA60s with AVIC and plans to also introduce 10 A320s in the next five years for international expansion.
The carrier is still awaiting approval of its Air Operator’s License (AOC), but told Orient Aviation it is planning to start operations as early as November should the AOC be cleared by then and at least two of the MA60s be delivered.
Cambodia Bayon Airlines has a starting capital of US$ 100 million.
