Kuala Lumpur International Airport posts 10.8% passenger growth

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) had 2.7 million passengers move through its domestic and international terminals in September, up 10.8% from 2.4 million travellers in August, monthly figures from Malaysia Airports Group show. Read More » The September figure was more than 1,300% above the 185,000 passengers processed through KLIA in the same month in 2021. The increase in KLIA passengers and in passengers at the group’s other airports was the result of re-opened routes and increased capacity as travel restrictions are eased across the region, the company said. In pre-COVID-19, KLIA recorded 4.9 million passengers in September 2019.
