Elbe Flugzeugwerke said at this week’s Airshow China, being held in Zhuhai, that it is partnering with Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Corp (AMECO) for the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighters. AMECO will undertake the passenger to freighter (P2F) conversions of A330 aircraft as a third-party provider. The work will be done at AMECO’s Chengdu shop with the first scheduled P2F conversion to commence in 2023.
Shenzhen Airlines has selected Pratt & Whitney GTF engines to power its inaugural fleet of six A321neo. The southern China carrier also has contracted Pratt & Whitney’s EngineWise Comprehensive service agreement for MRO on the engines.
In other Pratt & Whitney news, the engine maker said AFI KLM E&M has joined its global network of MRO providers for its PW1500G engines.
Separately, AFI KLM E&M’s EPCOR subsidiary will conduct repair services for China Eastern Airlines auxiliary power units and pneumatic components on the Shanghai carrier's 787-9s.
Sabre has agreed a distribution deal with THAI Airways International subsidiary, THAI Smile.
Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited is updating its digital infrastructure to deliver automated service desk management, cyber security protections and better [digital] resilience in partnership with Kyndryl.
Qantas Group is selling its 12.4% holding in travel agency group, Helloworld Travel, for A$33 million (US$22 million). Media reports said the sale, priced at A$1.72 a share or a 12% discount to Helloworld Travel's trading price on Tuesday, is a block trade with brokerage house Jarden.
