China bookings at 5% of pre-COVID-19 levels: IATA report

International ticket bookings remain at less than 5% of pre-pandemic levels for the third year in a row,” the airline lobby group said. China’s recent easing of some travel restrictions had “not impacted booking data in any meaningful way”, unlike the experience of many other markets, IATA said. “Most likely, prevailing strict COVID-related restrictions in specific localities curtailed the rebound potential of the national measures,” it added.
