U.S. asks for more time to consider Korean Air-Asiana Airlines merger

At the time, it said the process would take about 75 days, indicating a decision around mid-November. The U.S. is the latest regulator to seek extra time to evaluate the proposed KAL-Asiana amalgamation. The U.K. Competition and Markets Authority has raised concerns about the deal and asked the parties to submit additional information.
