Passengers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) rose 5.2%, to 2.8 million in October, from 2.7% in September. Read More » The figure was more than 500% above the 471,000 passengers processed at KLIA's domestic and international terminals in the same month in 2021, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) announced mid-week. The group operates airports across Malaysia and Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. There was continued “robust recovery momentum” in October after governments eased travel restrictions and airlines returned capacity to their domestic and international networks, MAHB said. In pre-COVID-19, KLIA processed 5.1 million passengers in October three years ago.
