Airbus aims to cease buying titanium from suppliers in the Russian Federation in “a matter of months not years”, CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, Michael Schoellhorn, said at the company's annual summit late last week.
Cathay Pacific has opened a retail outlet at the Cityplaza shopping centre in Hong Kong. Rather than selling seats on flights, space on cargo pallets or helping passengers with existing bookings, the shop showcases Cathay-branded merchandise and other products customers can purchase with cash, Cathay Pacific frequent flyer miles or combinations of both.
Last week, IndiGo launched a digital e-logbook for its pilots in partnership with the country's Directorate-General of Civil Aviation. “This initiative is the beginning of an era to enhance operational efficiency and easing of complexity and workload for pilots,” IndiGo senior vice president of flight operations, Captain Ashim Mitra, said. “This step is in line with the government’s vision of e-Governance and Digital India and our philosophy of providing a hassle-free experience to our pilots.”
