China Eastern Airlines receives first C919

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has delivered the first C919 aircraft to launch customer China Eastern Airlines (CEA). Read More » Held on December 9, the welcome ceremonies for the China-built jet, registration B-919A, included a maiden flight from Shanghai Pudong to the Shanghai Hongqiao. After landing, the single aisle airplane received a water cannon salute. CEA’s C919s are configured with eight business and 156 economy seats. The aircraft, which features a “World's First C919” decal on its fuselage, is designated for commercial service from early in quarter two next year.
