Etihad Airways to revive A380 operations

Etihad Airways will return four A380s to active service in 2023. Read More » The double decker passenger favourite will operate between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow from the peak northern summer 2023 season. “The move follows a surge in demand for air travel across our network and customer feedback for the return of one of the most remarkable commercial flying experiences in the sky,” Etihad said. “The A380s will be supported by five of their smaller A320 siblings, significantly expanding capacity, increasing frequencies on existing routes and launching destinations.” Pre-pandemic, Etihad operated a fleet of 10 A380s equipped with nine first class, 70 business and 405 economy seats and its above-first cabin, The Residence. When the fleet was grounded, Etihad said the aircraft were unlikely to fly again.
