All Nippon Airways emissions reduction targets certified by professional standards body

Read More » The airline group’s previously announced science-based targets (SBT) aimed to reduce its carbon intensity - both direct emissions from flying and indirect emissions from fuel production - by 29% in 2030 compared with 2019 levels. SBTi is an international organization supporting companies in establishing science-based targets for reducing greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions. “ANA Group's SBT is an ambitious goal as air transportation accounts for approximately 99% of CO2 emissions in our operations,” the airline said. “Efforts to reduce emissions remain a challenge faced by all airlines, but it is necessary for the industry as a whole to focus on strategies to reduce emissions and come together in a shared goal.”
