IndiGo reports US$173 million quarterly net profit

Interglobe Aviation, parent of India’s IndiGo airline, said the LCC booked a net profit of 14.2 billion rupee (US$173 million) for the three months to December 31 compared with a net profit of 1.3 billion rupee in the same months in 2021. Read More » Revenue increased 62.6%, to 154.1 billion rupee, the company said in a regulatory filing. “Third quarter performance was strong, both operationally and financially, against a backdrop of robust demand for air travel,” IndiGo CEO, Pieter Elbers, said. “Fourth quarter forward bookings look encouraging and when combined with relatively stable fuel prices we hope to continue the positive trend.”
