Air New Zealand adds three partners to next generation aircraft project

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) has announced Embraer, Heart Aerospace and Universal Hydrogen as new partners in the airline's project to replace its Q300 turboprops with a more sustainable aircraft. Read More » The trio joins existing partners, Airbus and ATR, in Air NZ's Mission NextGen Aircraft project, established in 2022. “Adding Universal Hydrogen, Embraer and Heart Aerospace will broaden our knowledge of the technologies being developed for potential future aircraft,” Air NZ chief sustainability officer, Kiri Hannifin, said. “This is not about selecting a new aircraft. It’s about growing our collective understanding to advance a new era of travel.”
