Vietnam aviation market to fully recover by year-end; CAAV forecast

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) predicts the country's aviation market will record 80 million domestic and international air travellers in 2023, up 1% from domestic passengers carried in 2019, the last full year before the pandemic’s outbreak. Read More » The forecast was issued despite the major challenges of limited airport infrastructure, instability in fuel prices, the shortage of aviation professionals and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the CAAV said. Around 45.5 million domestic and 34 million international passengers are forecast for Vietnam in 2023, equivalent to 122% and 83.5%, respectively, in pre-COVID 2029.
