AirAsia X back in the black with a US$34.6 million profit

AirAsia X (AAX) has announced a net profit of 153.4 million ringgit (US$34.6 million) for its December quarter compared with a net loss of 11.9 million ringgit in the same months in 2021. Read More » Revenue was higher by 184.4%%, at 339.3 million ringgit, AAX said in a regulatory filing. “The company is optimistic about the upward fare trend in the near term as demand for international air travel remains high,” AAX CEO, Benyamin Ismail, said. “We expect this to somewhat rationalise, but we do not foresee it dropping beyond pre-pandemic levels.”
