Aircraft deliveries to exceed pre-pandemic numbers in 2023: International Air Transport Association report

Airlines are scheduled to accept delivery of 1,540 new aircraft in 2023, an increase of 300 airplanes from 1,240 deliveries in 2022, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said, citing Cirium figures. Read More » “On current estimates, aircraft deliveries are forecast to surpass 2019 levels for the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic,” IATA said. There were 1,405 new aircraft deliveries in 2019, it added. The Asia-Pacific fleet will represent 24% of all deliveries this year, mainly to airlines in China and India, behind Europe (27%) and North America (33%).
