BOC Aviation’s fiscal year profit impacted from write down of Russia-based aircraft

BOC Aviation has reported a net profit lower by 96.4%, to US$20 million, in the 12 months to December 31 from US$561 million in the previous year. Read More » The bottom line was impacted by a US$507 million charge related to the write down of its aircraft in Russia. “In the second half of 2022 we generated a net profit after tax of US$333 million, ahead of the US$307 million earned in second half 2021, which more than offset the interim loss, reflecting the improving operating environment,” BOC Aviation managing director and CEO, Robert Martin, said. “We enter our 30th year with confidence.” Revenue increased 5.7%, to US$2.3 billion, in calendar 2022, BOC said in a regulatory filing.
