Transnusa decides on Kuala Lumpur as first international destination

Indonesia-based Transnusa has announced Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur will be its first international route with nonstop flights to take off between Jakarta and the Malaysian capital on April 14, local media reports, quoting the airline's CEO, Datuk Bernard Francis. Read More » The carrier has scheduled two flights a week on the popular route, to be flown by A320s. Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur is served by several full-service and low-cost airlines, including AirAsia group, Garuda Indonesia group, Lion Air group and Malaysia Airlines. Datuk Bernard said Transnusa's ticket prices for the route will sit between the fares charged by full-service airlines and those of low-cost carriers. Transnusa does not want to start a price war, he said, and added the carrier’s second international destination, to Johor Bahru, is scheduled for a June launch.
