Kuala Lumpur airport reports 3.3 million passengers for February

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) processed 3.3 million passengers last month, up 236% from 981,000 customers processed at Malaysia’s largest airport in the same month in 2022, operator Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has announced. Read More » Despite the growth, the airport’s February figure of 2.2 million international passengers and 1.1 million domestic passengers was 6% lower than the 3.5 million passengers processed through the airport in January. The numbers were 68.6% of the pre-pandemic February 2019 total of 4.8 million passengers. “The encouraging demand for air travel was partly driven by travel plan backlogs and the opportunity for passengers to undertake weekend and short getaways as travelling became easier after the lifting of travel restrictions and the reopening of international borders,” MAHB said.
