Asia-Pacific airlines report 16.9 million international passengers for February

Read More » Despite the slight decline, the February figure was 645.3% higher than the 2.3 million air travellers Asia-Pacific airlines flew in the same month in 2022, the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) said. “The first two months of the year saw a continued strong recovery in international travel markets,” AAPA director general, Subhas Menon, said. “Strong travel demand will continue to underpin the recovery in passenger traffic as pre-pandemic flight frequencies and city links are gradually restored in 2023.” The passenger total was 57.1% of the 29.6 million international passengers flown by Asia-Pacific carriers in pre-pandemic February 2019.
