Air Vanuatu expects to restart flying to Australia and New Zealand from “mid next week” after parts for its 737 became available in Asia. Read More » The airline cancelled all routes served with its sole 737-800 last week and has been trying to source parts from Boeing's offices in the U.S. and Australia. Air Vanuatu said it also contacted airlines for support, but the busy Easter travel season meant there was no spare capacity. “Air Vanuatu has confirmed that required parts for the airline's only Boeing 737 have been sourced from partners in Asia,” the airline said. “As a result, the timeline to re-launch Air Vanuatu’s services to and from the key destinations of Australia and New Zealand is anticipated for mid next week.”
