Indonesia AirAsia boosts schedule for Hari Raya Idul Fitri

Indonesia AirAsia (IAA) will add 158 flights to its network between April 13 and May 1 to cater for increased demand during the Hari Raya Idul Fitri season, the religious festival that marks the end of the sunrise to sunset fasting of the month of Ramadan. Read More » The additional services will be Jakarta-Bali and Jakarta-Medan, up by 16 flights to 51 and 29, respectively. Jakarta-Singapore will operate an extra daily flight during the period, increasing the LCC’s services into Changi to 29 flights a week. IAA CEO, Veranita Yosephine, said the schedule increase will lift passenger capacity by 16%, to 205,740 seats, and added staff have been trained to manage the forecast peak holiday surge in passengers.
