Malaysia Airlines to hand over several domestic routes to Firefly

From May 16, Firefly will operate selected domestic services in Sabah and Sarawak formerly flown by Malaysia Airlines. Read More » Firefly will fly daily from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan and Tawau in Sabah, to Kuching in Sarawak and intra-Sarawak Kuching-Miri. The carrier’s 737-800s, configured with 189 seats in a single class layout, will operate the routes. “This latest initiative is a testament to Malaysia Aviation Group’s (MAG) efforts to refine and improve its network and product offerings,” MAG CEO Airlines, Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, said. “By prioritising market demand, MAG aims to unlock greater opportunities for growth and advancement while remaining true to its overarching objectives.”
