The Asia and Pacific Air Navigation Service Provider Committee, whose members include the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation, the International Air Transport Association and 43 air navigation service providers in the Asia-Pacific, held its inaugural meeting last month. Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) director general, Han Kok Juan, was elected chair of the new committee.

The chief financial officer of MRO provider, Lufthansa Technik, Dr. William Willms, said there is increasing demand [for MRO] in the engine sector. “There are significant catch-up effects in the engine sector resulting from the crisis period,” Willms said in the company's quarterly financial update, which showed adjusted earnings before interest and tax rose 5%, to 135.2 million euros (US$152 million), in the three months to March 31. “In addition, there will be many new engines arriving in the workshops for their first check in the near future.”

Recaro Aircraft Seating’s BL3710 seat has taken flight in India for the first time after installation and entry into service aboard an IndiGo A321neo.
