Japan Airlines and Wisk Aero have agreed jointly to establish a system and regulation of autonomous aircraft, conduct a demonstration flight and collaborate and cooperate on obtaining certification from the local regulator for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
Japan’s IHI Corporation’s aero engine, space and defence business had an operating profit of 43.7 billion yen (US$327 million) for the 12 months to March 31 against an operating loss of 9.3 billion yen in the previous year.
