Asiana Airlines passenger opened emergency exit door on final approach after “feeling suffocated”

Nine people aboard an Asiana Airlines domestic flight from Jeju to Daegu were injured when a passenger opened the emergency exit door of the A321 on final approach to the aircraft’s destination airport. Read More » The flight, OZ8124 operated by A321 registration HL8256, landed safely and the injured passengers, who reportedly suffered breathing difficulties, were taken to hospital. The Star Alliance member said the man who opened the left hand side emergency exit door was detained by local police. Local media has reported the passenger had been stressed after losing his job and wanted to quickly disembark from the aircraft after “feeling suffocated”.
