KLIA reports 3.6 million passengers for April

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) handled 3.6 million passengers in April, three times the 1.2 million passengers in the same month in 2022. Read More » In contrast to the strong year-on-year growth, the April figure was down 5.4% month-on-month from the 3.8 million passengers recorded in March. KLIA operator, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), said it was encouraged by the April traffic figures, adding the company's portfolio of airports continued to "show resilience" in a month which coincided with Ramadan, typically a period with fewer air travellers. KLIA's passenger total for April represented 67.6% of the 5.3 million domestic and international passengers who travelled through the airport during the pre-pandemic month of April 2019.
