Papua New Guinea-headquartered Air Niugini has committed to two 787-8s, manufacturer Boeing has announced, with delivery dates yet to be confirmed. Read More » Currently, Air Niugini operates two 767-300ERs. “Signing this contract with Boeing for the purchase of two 787 Dreamliners will enable Air Niugini to grow its network across Asia, Australia and New Zealand and fulfil its mission as the premier airline in Papua New Guinea,” Air Niugini acting CEO, Gary Seddon, said. Air Niugini ordered the 787-8 in 2007, but the order was cancelled.
