Senior SIA executive Mak Swee Wah to retire in September

Singapore Airlines (SIA) said executive vice president of operations and chief operations officer, Mak Swee Wah, will retire on September 9 after a 40-year career with the airline group. Personally, I have benefited much from Mak’s valuable counsel over the years. I wish him a very happy and well-deserved retirement.” SIA named executive vice president for finance and strategy and chief financial officer, Tan Kai Ping, as Mak's successor.
SIA’s senior vice president for marketing planning, JoAnn Tan, has been appointed executive vice president for finance and chief financial officer. Tan is SIA's first female chief financial officer. Divisional vice president for digital, Dai Hao Yu, will move up to acting senior vice president for marketing planning. The management changes will take effect in September.
