HNA Group share price lifts after bankruptcy reorganisation announced

Chinese conglomerate and airline owner, HNA Group, has received a notice from a Hainan court that creditors had sought bankruptcy and reorganisation of the company due to an inability to meet its debt commitments. Read More »



Air China’s 2020 net loss could hit US$2.4 billion

Air China said in a regulatory filing to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong it expected to report a net loss in the range of 13.5 billion-15.5 billion yuan (US$2.1 billion-$2.4 billion) for calendar 2020, compared with a net profit of 6.4 billion yuan a year earlier. Read More »

China Southern Airlines predicts lowest annual losses of “Big Three” carriers

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has forecast a net loss for calendar 2020 of 7.9 billion-10.9 billion yuan (US$1.2 billion to $1.7 billion), down from net profit of 2.7 billion in the same months in 2019. Read More »



Demand collapses 81.09% at Asia-Pacific airlines

Singapore MRO pins hope on vaccines for sector’s recovery

SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) said on Friday the progressive rollout of COVID-19 vaccines offered "hope of a gradual recovery of the aviation industry and the MRO business" as it reported net profit fell 85.7%, to S$7.7 million (US$5.8 million), in the three months to December 31, 2020, compared with a year earlier.
