Asia-Pacific Aerospace Briefs Today
Japan Airlines (JAL) said it will be the first airline in the world to use a foam washing technique for cleaning the CF34 engines used on the Embraer E170 regional jet flown by affiliate J-Air. It has signed a contract with GE Aviation for the foam washing service. The use of foam instead of water will lower CO2 emissions and save water.
