Airbus and LanzaJet have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance construction of sustainable aviation fuel facilities using LanzaJet’s alcohol-to-jet technology.

Boeing has welcomed Iraqi Airways as the newest operator of the 787. The Baghdad-headquartered carrier received its first 787-8 late last week. Iraqi Airways has ordered 10 787 family aircraft.

Embraer has secured a contract extension with National Jet Express, a subsidiary of Australia's Rex Group, to support the airline's six E190s with spare parts.

Honeywell and Fokker Services have agreed Fokker will be a service centre and channel partner for the repair and overhaul of Honeywell pre-cooler control valves on 737NG family aircraft.

RECARO Aircraft Seating has is offering airlines an economy class seat, X-Tend, that has an extended seat bottom to Airbus aircraft that will add seats but maintain the 13-inch seat pitch required for over wing exit seats. The seat will increase passenger capacity of an A320 from 190 to 194 seats.

SIA Engineering Company has won a contract, to 2027, for airframe maintenance services on Hawaiian Airlines 18 A321neo operating from Clark airport in the Philippines.

Spirit Aerosystems has suspended operations at its Wichita facility after employees rejected a new workplace contract. Production at Wichita is expected to remain suspended until an agreement with workers represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers is reached.

SriLankan Airlines engineering division had completed its first heavy maintenance check - on a Cebu Pacific Air A330-300. The LCC is SriLankan Engineering’s first Southeast Asian airline customer for heavy maintenance on wide-body aircraft.
