Thai Airways International completes first 747-400 sale, holds deposits for five more Jumbo jets

Read More » THAI also has received a 20% deposit for five more 747-400s after signing a sale and purchase agreement with the buyer of the aircraft. Other non-core assets sales in the quarter included a 20% deposit for four unused engines and the sale of 1,868 shares in the Fuel Pipeline Transportation Limited Company. In its quarterly update of its business rehabilitation progress, THAI said the repayment to creditors of outstanding principal and interest was 3.2 billion baht (US$91 million) at April 30 up from 2.8 billion baht on January 31. There has been no default of any clauses under its business rehabilitation plan, the airline added.
