Private equity group plans 10% holding in Eastar Jet; Reuters news agency report

Private equity firm, AIP Capital, is seeking 10% of South Korea-headquartered LCC, Eastar Jet, Reuters news agency reports citing comments from the firm. Read More » In addition to its discussions about an ownership stake, AIP Capital is leasing five 737 MAX 8s to Eastar Jet. The LCC, which resumed flying in March after being grounded by the pandemic, was acquired by South Korean private equity fund, VIG Partners, earlier this year. AIP Capital, launched in May, is the asset manager for all commercial aircraft owned by investment holding company 777 Partners.
