The longans are grown by farmers in Thailand’s Lamphun province. “The healthy twist on Panang was particularly challenging and novel for AirAsia. It sought to make the dish completely plant-based, but for it to satisfy vegans and non-vegans alike,” AirAsia Thailand head of inflight services, On-anong Methapipatkul, said. “On top of the wonderful warm curry, we are introducing fresh longan juice and longan Americano drinks that will assist longan farmers in Lamphun. They expect to grow no less than four tons of longan between July and September.”
