ANA HOLDINGS INC. on track to complete acquisition of Nippon Cargo Airlines

ANA HOLDINGS INC., the parent of Japan’s All Nippon Airways is acquiring Nippon Cargo Airlines from Yusen Kaisha (NYK) with the transaction to be finalised by October 1 this year. Read More » The deal is being conducted via a share exchange, ANA HOLDINGS said in a regulatory filing. The proposed acquisition was announced in March. NCA operates eight 747-8F freighters and has five 747-400Fs flown by other airlines. “The future integration and restructuring of ANA Group’s cargo business, which utilises Japan’s largest international passenger flight network, and NCA’s large cargo aircraft will make it possible to provide high quality and competitive air cargo transportation services that can respond to the increasing sophistication of the supply chain,” the airline group said.
