All Nippon Airways and Virgin Australia bulk up code-sharing and frequent flyer partnership

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Virgin Australia (VA) have deepened their partnership with an expanded code-share agreement and reciprocal benefits for eligible members of their frequent flyer programs. Read More » VA has added its airline code on ANA flights between Australia and Japan and to 12 destinations within Japan. VA's Velocity frequent flyer members can earn points and status credits when flying with ANA’s domestic and international services. “We are incredibly excited to be expanding our partnership with ANA, creating extra value and choice for our guests and members as we connect them to more destinations than ever,” VA's Velocity Frequent Flyer CEO, Nick Rohrlach, said. “Following the commencement of our Cairns-Tokyo Haneda service last month, it is fantastic to be opening up more opportunities for our guests and members when travelling to and within Japan on the nation’s largest airline.” Lounge access for frequent flyer members and using points to redeem flights are not included in the expanded code-share agreement.
