IndiGo announces Delhi-Almaty and Tashkent schedules

India’s leading carrier, IndiGo, has confirmed the start dates for its services to Almaty in Kazakstan and Tashkent in Uzbekistan. Read More » The LCC has scheduled inaugural four times weekly Delhi-Tashkent from September 22. Three times a week Delhi-Almaty will begin the following day. IndiGo revealed its plans to operate to the two Central Asia cities in June. “Located in north eastern Uzbekistan, near the border with Kazakhstan, this opens a gateway for Indian travellers to experience the enchanting charm of Uzbekistan, fostering enriching ties of commerce and culture between our two nations,” IndiGo head of sales, Vinay Malhotra, said. Regarding the Almaty route, Malhotra added “this connectivity will foster trade and commerce, given Kazakhstan's status as the wealthiest country in Central Asia. We firmly believe this expansion will lead to a substantial increase in tourism”.
