Read More » Despite the anemic performance, the August figure was more than 10 times the 155,400 passengers flown by Singapore Airlines and Scoot in the same month in 2021. “Singapore Airlines Group continued to see strong passenger demand across all route regions except East Asia where travel restrictions remain in some key markets,” SIA said. Compared with pre-COVID levels, the August passenger total was 63% of the 3.3 million passengers the group’s airlines carried in the same month in 2019. August group capacity was 68% of pre-pandemic levels against 67% in July. Passenger load factor for the 31 days was 85.4% compared with 87.4% in July 2022 and 17.5% in August 2021.
