Cathay Pacific launches Mainland China recruitment drive

Cathay Pacific group CEO, Ronald Lam, said last week the airline group is seeking cabin crew applicants from China and also Mainland employees for other roles in the company. Read More » Speaking at the Qianhai International Talent Hub in Shenzhen, Lam said it was the first time in the airline's history it was recruiting cabin crew from China. “We will continue to strengthen our presence in, and attract talent from, the Chinese Mainland in response to our increasing numbers of Putonghua speaking customers while building a diverse and inclusive Cathay family,” Lam said. The Cathay Group has a recruitment target of 4,000 Mainland staff by 2025, he said. In addition to cabin crew, the airline group is seeking cadet pilots, IT professionals, ground employees and customer service officers from the Mainland.
