Australia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Vanuatu to support the Pacific island nation's Airports Vanuatu Limited (AVL) by investing in infrastructure. The Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific is working with AVL to design and scope a package of infrastructure works at Vanuatu’s international airport.
Standard Chartered Group has confirmed it has reached a definitive agreement to sell its global aviation finance leasing business to Aircraft Leasing Company (AviLease). AviLease is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The global banking group announced its intention to sell its aircraft leasing arm in January. The $700 million transaction is scheduled to close by year-end.
