Airbus records 117 commercial aircraft orders in August

Airbus has reported commitments for 117 commercial aircraft for August, lifting gross orders for 2023 to 1,257 airplanes. Read More » The August result was underpinned by Wizz Air putting pen to paper for 75 A321neos, an Avolon order for 20 A330neo and a commitment for another 12 A321neo from an undisclosed customer. The remaining orders for the month were in the single digits. Net August orders were 1,218 aircraft and the number of cancelled orders at August 31 was unchanged from the previous month at 39. Airbus delivered 52 aircraft in the reported 31 days, increasing year-to-date deliveries to 433 airliners.
