Batik Air Indonesia headed to South Australia

Adelaide Airport will have a third airline flying Adelaide-Bali from November, when Batik Air Indonesia starts nonstop flights from the state’s capital to the tourist hotspot. Read More » The Lion Air Group carrier has scheduled four Adelaide-Bali flights a week, beginning on November 8, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, an Adelaide Airport official shared in a social media post. Currently, Jetstar and Virgin Australia fly nonstop Adelaide-Bali. Batik Air Indonesia's sister carrier, Batik Air Malaysia, serves Adelaide from Kuala Lumpur. Australian government figures showed 190,214 passengers travelled between Adelaide and Bali in calendar 2019, the last full year before the outbreak of the pandemic. It was the second most popular destination from Adelaide after Singapore which recorded 208,490 passengers.
