Two Virgin Australia 737-800s grounded after unauthorised engine components identified

Virgin Australia (VA) has withdrawn two 737-800s from flying after learning their engines were fitted with unauthorised parts, local media reports, quoting an airline spokesperson. Read More » The components were from AOG Technics in the UK which has been accused of supplying falsely certified parts. Earlier this year, it was reported engine manufacturer, CFM International, had commenced legal action against AOG Technics after allegedly discovering the repair shop had fitted 68 engines with parts bearing fake authorisation certificates.
