Jetstar Japan launches Asahikawa in time for peak northern hemisphere ski season

Jetstar Japan will commence daily nonstop Tokyo Narita to Asahikawa in northern Japan on December 15. Read More » Asahikawa is Hokkaido’s second largest city after Sapporo. “The close proximity of these ski resorts to Asahikawa City means every morning you can check out the conditions at each resort and decide which one takes your fancy,” Jetstar Japan CEO, Masaru Kataoka, said. “And for those who want to explore further or avoid the winter months, Asahikawa is centrally located making it a convenient hub for those who want to enjoy all the prefecture has to offer year round.” The LCC, a Japan Airlines, Qantas Group and Tokyo Century Corporation joint venture, flies Tokyo to New Chitose airport on the island.
