Boeing raises 20-year forecast for China

Boeing estimates China’s airlines will order 8,560 aircraft between 2023 and 2042 to meet demand for air travel. Read More » The forecast is 0.9% above the 8,485 aircraft the 2022-2041 Boeing Commercial Market Outlook (CMO) predicted. The 2023-2042 CMO estimates China will order 6,470 single-aisle and 1,550 wide-body airplanes, 350 regional jets and 190 freighters in the next two decades compared with 6,370 single-aisle and 1,570 wide-body aircraft, 340 regional jets and 205 freighters forecast in the 2022-2041 CMO. “Domestic air traffic in China has surpassed pre-pandemic levels and international traffic is recovering steadily,” Boeing vice president for commercial marketing, Darren Hulst, said.
