Brunei startup Gallop Air selects ARJ21 and C919

Gallop Air has signed a letter of intent (LOI) for up to 30 Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) aircraft, comprising up to 15 C919s and 15 ARJ21s, local media reported, citing a company statement. Read More » Although Gallop Air planned to operate as a Brunei airline – services were expected to start in the third quarter of 2024 – the company is incorporated in Singapore and is backed by Mainland China-headquartered Shaanxi Tianju Group. It would be the second foreign operator of the ARJ21, following Indonesian carrier TransNusa. A signing ceremony for the LOI was held at the recently held China-Association of South East Asian (ASEAN) expo in Nanning.
