Qantas seeks approval for Garuda to codeshare

Qantas has applied to Australia's International Air Services Commission (IASC) to enter into a codeshare agreement with Garuda Indonesia. Read More » The application sought approval for Garuda to add its GA airline code on Qantas-operated flights between Australia and Indonesia from October 29 2023, or as soon as all necessary approvals were received. "The code share arrangements expand the number and timing of services that may be marketed and independently priced by Garuda Indonesia to/from Australia, providing additional options and choice for consumers," Qantas said in its application. Both airlines have four routes between Australia and Indonesia - Denpasar-Melbourne, Denpasar-Sydney, Jakarta-Melbourne and Jakarta-Sydney. The IASC manages Australia's international traffic rights.
